Welcome Elul Parking Lot Program

Due to unhealthy air quality, we are postponing this event two weeks to Thursday, September 3, 2020

Let’s welcome Elul in the parking lot!

During this unusual time, we are thinking differently and planning creative programs to keep us connected while also keeping us safe.

Join Rabbi Alpert and Rabbi Roller on Thursday, 9/3/2020 at 7:00pm for a short uplifting program to mark the beginning of Elul, the final month of the Jewish year prior to Rosh HaShanah. There are a number of customs associated with Elul to help us use the month for introspection and to take stock of our lives.  Elul helps us to spiritually prepare for the High Holy Days.  During the program, we will blow shofar, engage in self-reflection, and play music related to the season.

Please note: participants must remain in their cars for the entire program including entering and exiting the parking lot.  The building will be closed and therefore there will be no access to restrooms.  This is a pilot program, so while we are limiting the number of cars, if this program is successful, we will offer more like it in the future.

Registration Information: CongElulEvent0903.
