A discussion of the music of biblical times to contemporary world folk fusion. We’ll delve into the history and traditions around Klezmer music and compare it to its Sephardic cousin as well as the sacred traditions developed by unique Jewish communities around the world. Taught by Deborah Rosengaus – mezzo soprano opera singer. Possibly the first class in a four-class sequence. Class begins at 10:30, Come early for food. Walk ins welcome.
