Cancer sucks. Plain and simple.

That dreaded call from a family member now fighting this $#!++? thing called cancer came a couple months back. A week later I received a second call about yet another family member. We’ve got to make it stop! I can’t sit by and do nothing. Please join me to support those on the journey through treatment to a hopeful recovery and help those doing research to prevent cancer.

This is my ninth year raising funds for the American Cancer Society through Relay for Life. I started walking to honor the memory of my dad. I wear the red shirt in memory of Sandy and Susan. It’s my way of supporting those currently fighting cancer (3 new ones this year), honoring the cancer survivors in my life (may they continue in good health), and remembering friends and family I have lost (may no more names be added to this list!). It doesn’t matter which type of cancer: esophageal, breast, prostrate, neuroendocrine, pancreatic, skin, lung, etc… Nearly everyone has been touched by cancer, either through their own personal battle or through the battle of someone they love, and this disease has taken too much from too many.

Let’s make a difference in the fight to end cancer by raising funds and cancer awareness. Please join me in the fight against cancer by donating: http://main.acsevents.org/goto/cancersucks315

Independence from cancer…That’s what I wish for all of us!

Let’s DO this!
