Israel Independence Day Celebration – 5/9

Celebrate Israel Independence Day at the JCC! For adults and teens (not recommended for younger children).

6:30pm Tour of IsrAID art exhibit in English (free)
7:00pm Israeli buffet dinner followed by 7:30pm musical performance, “A Musical Journey: Israeli Songs Through The Years”. – We are excited to invite you to an evening of Jewish and Israeli music dedicated to Yom Ha’Atzmaut – Israel’s Independence Day, led by Aviva Greenberg, singer and musician, and Adi Ruppin, musician. We will go through the history of Israeli music and its inspiration from the 1920’s to today. Rachel, Leah Goldberg, Uzi Hitman, Nurit Hirsch, Ehud Manor, and Naomi Shemer are only a few of the very special artists who will be mentioned and whose songs will be sung. Aviva Greenberg, born in Ohio and raised in Israel, is a native speaker of both Hebrew and English, and enjoys bringing Jewish and Israeli music to our community.
