Tikkun Olam Action Day 
A mitzvah/earth day fusion to actively do tikkun olam (repair the world)

Sunday, April 30th
10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Join us before the planned activities for two special guest speakers. Bagels, juice and coffee – served during the sessions

10:00 -10:30 a.m. Session 1

Eric Rosenblum will speak on: “There is no water to drink” from the text in Numbers 20:3. The people complain to Moshe resulting in Moshe and Aaron hitting a rock from which God then brings forth fresh water. He will focus on new global techniques for turning non potable water into fresh, pure drinking water.  Eric Rosenblum is formerly division manager of San Jose’s South Bay Water Recycling Project, now a  water consultant. He is a member of Congregation Sinai.

Liz Braun of Mazon: A Jewish Response to Hunger will speak on food insecurity in the US and Israel and what Mazon is doing to help. She will show a video about the extensive work that Mazon has done for more than 30 years to not only feed the hungry but to assist and educate communities in gaining the skills to help themselves.

At 11:00 a.m. the learning moves into ACTION as the stations open for all participants. Please attend and learn and act on behalf of those in need in our community. Activities for all ages.

* Make your own sandwich for lunch
