Pack 504, affiliated with Boy Scouts of America, teaches boys in grades
1-5 social skills, leadership and skills for independent living while
having fun in a group of peers. Boys in Cub Scout Pack 504 participate
in the quality scouting program of sporting, fitness activities, camping,
field trips and special events, while also following the guidelines of
Jewish law. Recent pack activities include the USS Hornet sleepover, the Pinewood Derby, building a telegraphic radio transmitter, Sukkah sleepover, the Blue & Gold, and a family camping experience. Meetings are typically held Sundays 1:00 - 2:00 pm in Saratoga. For more information contact or . The award can be awarded publicly at annual Greater San Jose Scout Shabbat services on the first Erev Shabbat (Friday night) in February or can be mailed to you directly. Currently there are no Girl Scout Troops associated with Congregation Beth David. Lehavah Award for Brownie Girl Scouts (gr 1-3) Bat or Award for Junior Girl Scouts (gr 4-6) Any Jewish Girl Scout regardless of troop affiliation may work toward these Jewish heritage awards involving exercises on family, holidays, Torah, God, mitzvot, Israel, etc. The workbook is done independently at home, and verified by one's own religious school teacher or rabbi. Upon completion an award is given which the girl can wear on her Girl Scout uniform.
