  1. (2:4-25) Another version of Creation. Adam and Eve are placed in the Garden of Eden “to till it and to tend it.”
  2. (3:1-24) The woman listens to the snake, eats of the forbidden fruit, and persuades the man also to eat of it. All are punished. Adam and Eve are expelled from the Garden of Eden.
  3. (4:1-15) The story of Cain and Abel.
  4. (4:17-24) The descendants of Cain. The taunting song of Lamech.
  5. (4:25-26) Seth, Adam and Eve’s third son, and his son Enosh.
