International Holocaust Remembrance at San Jose City Council

San Jose City Hall, 200 E. Santa Clara St.

1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

Local Holocaust survivor Maria Donner and Council Member Sergio Jimenez will join Mayor Sam Liccardo in proclaiming a week of remembrance in San Jose during the Ceremonial Items portion of the regular meeting of the San Jose City Council.

7:00 – 7:30 p.m.

For the first time since the International Holocaust Remembrance began, the San Jose City Hall Rotunda will be lit in commemoration on the evening of January 29. The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) will be participating in this event sponsored by Council Member Sergio Jimenez. The names of Holocaust victims will be read outside of City Hall, 7-7:30 p.m. You are invited to read the names of family and friends. If you are unable to attend, but want people honored, you can send their names to Michael Sinensky, mickey745@aol.com.
